Young artists step into the spotlight with LCT’s Altra Star Academy. Designed for both new and experienced youth performers, this program builds confidence, cultivates empathy, and expands creativity through theatrical training.

Course Description: Students will learn and perform a kids musical. Please note there are two camps covering the same material that meet at separate times, please only sign up for one camp. Attendance at all performances is required for participation in this performance skills class.

Course Description: Students will learn and perform Disney's Camp Rock The Musical- Once Act Edition. We may not be able to cast all who audition so the cast list will be decided and communicated by Friday, May 9th, in case other plans need to be made. Attendance at all performances is required for participation in this class.
Age: For students completing grades 4-7 in the 2024-25 school year
*Students completing 4th grade are only eligible for ensemble, but still must audition*
Middle School Technical Theatre

Course Description: Students will work on designing and creating the technical elements of our middle school theatre production. This includes but is not limited to publicity, lights, sound, set build, and costumes. Students in this course do not need to be available for performances. If you are interested in doing tech for performances as well please register for Middle School Performance Tech in addition to this course.

Summer Scholarship Information
Theatre has a home for everyone, and our goal is to reach as many young artists as possible. La Crosse Community Theatre believes everyone should have access to experience the magic of theatre, regardless of financial circumstances. LCT’s Star Academy offers an opportunity for financial assistance on a sliding scale.
To ensure your child’s spot in class is reserved, first register your child for your desired class session(s) by calling Director of Education Katelyn Klieve at (414) 659-2145.
You must complete an application for each child seeking a scholarship in your household. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Awards are given based on your household income from the previous year and your household size.

For example, let’s say you have a family of 3 and your household income is $40,500. According to the chart, your family will be required to pay 40% of the tuition cost.
