Community theatre needs community involvement to thrive.

Community theatre is made possible because of community involvement and support. Did you know that many of the people you come in contact with at LCT are volunteers? Our small staff, along with guest artists, provide the necessary guidance and expertise, but cannot do it alone.

There are numerous volunteer opportunities at LCT: auditioning to perform, joining a backstage crew, helping with costume or set construction, designing props, working as a sound or light board operator, or ushering. Everyone is important to LCT's operations. Whether it be for one hour or every day, we could use your help!

People who volunteer their time and energy have the opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends, and to share the magic of bringing stories to life on stage.

Be a part of your community theatre.

LCT's Expectations

Anyone who participates in our productions, whether on stage or behind the scenes, must adhere to the policies in our LCT Volunteer Handbook. Please review it carefully.

Audition

Anyone who ever wanted to act, from those with no experience to the most seasoned actor, is welcome on our stage. Part of what makes LCT successful is the diversity of our participants.

Backstage

Not all theatre happens under the spotlights. There are so many ways to get involved at LCT and you don't have to be a performer!

Usher

Ushers greet the public, assist with Will Call, verify tickets, help patrons find their seats, hand out programs, and sell 50-50 raffle tickets. This is a great way to get started with volunteering and meet a lot of people.
