La Crosse Community Theatre Gears Up for Annual Meeting

A Chance for Members to Shape the Future

La Crosse, WI – La Crosse Community Theatre (LCT) invites all current members and those interested in the future of local theatre to attend its upcoming Annual Meeting in two weeks, scheduled for September 24, 2024 at 5pm. This important event serves as a key moment for the LCT community to come together, review the past year’s accomplishments, and help shape the direction of the theatre for the coming season.

What is the Annual Meeting?

The Annual Meeting is a yearly gathering where members of the La Crosse Community Theatre have the opportunity to engage directly with the organization’s leadership. The meeting will include the presentation of the financial report, updates on LCT’s productions, and most importantly, a chance for members to voice their ideas and concerns. Elections for new Board members will also be held, giving members the chance to influence the theatre’s leadership.

What Happens at the Election?

At the Annual Meeting, members will have the opportunity to vote on candidates for the Board of Directors. The election process is overseen by the Board Nomination Committee, which selects and vets candidates based on their qualifications and the needs of the organization. Only nominees vetted by this committee will be eligible for election, and no nominations will be accepted from the floor. Members can then vote to approve or reject these candidates, influencing who will help guide the organization in the coming years.

The Board shapes LCT’s long-term strategy, financial health, and community engagement, making the election of Directors a key way in which members can contribute to the theatre’s future.
