Godspell takes parables, mostly from the Gospel of Matthew, and modernizes them with energetic force and creative twists to the 1970s. Jesus and his disciples, portrayed as hippies, sing their way through his life, from Jesus' baptism by John Paul to the passion of the Christ. This colorful hippie romp through the gospels is a classic for kids of all ages and should not be missed!
