The Enduring Families Project is a theatre project which brings to life the stories of 19th Century African Americans that lived in La Crosse and its surrounding area: a presidential candidate, a politically active farmer, a vaudeville musician, a woman boarding house owner, several barbers, including one woman who owned her own barbershop. These stories, told through reenactments, run the gamut of life experiences in 19th Century La Crosse.
